Become A Volunteer!

OUR RESCUE RELIES ON ITS VOLUNTEERS!

What is more rewarding than making a difference in an animal’s life? You can volunteer in so many ways – from handing out literature at adoption events, to fostering dogs that need that extra TLC. Some of our volunteers only have a few hours once a week to dedicate and others help out by transporting our dogs to the vet to be spayed or neutered. We appreciate all that they do. It’s a great way to make friends who love dogs and feel good about helping out. To volunteer at the Meridian Valley Humane Society, you must be at least 16 years old, have a valid photo ID and be able to pass a criminal background check.

Volunteer opportunities Include:

  • Morning walking, feeding, and cleaning shifts
  • Evening walking shifts
  • Adoption shifts
  • Transportation of dogs to and from veterinarian appointments
  • Fundraising events
  • Fostering of dogs, including special needs dogs
  • Committee membership (media, fundraising, etc.)

Complete care of the animals at the Meridian Valley Humane Society is provided solely by the volunteers. Dedicated people are very much in need. Please join our team of amazing, talented, compassionate volunteers — we’re saving lives over here, and we can’t wait for you to be a part of this experience!
